About the Company
LNG Silesia Sp. z o.o. was founded on 12 May 2005. The Company's goal is to develop LNG markets in Poland and Europe from waste and stranded gas resources. To achieve this goal, LNG Silesia will exploit methane from waste and stranded sources such as coal mines, landfills and stranded natural gas reserves. The LNG produced from these sources is then distributed to a number of different end users to displace traditional fuels such as oil, diesel, gasoline and LPG. LNG Silesia has an in-house engineering team that specializes in the design, implementation and operation of small distributed scale liquefaction systems.
LNG Silesia intends to become the European leader in small distributed scale LNG production and distribution.

Our goal
Today there is an ever pressing need for renewable clean sources of energy. As the global economy continues to grow so does the demand for scarce energy resources. By utilizing waste sources of methane, LNG Silesia is not only tapping into unused renewable resources but is also helping to provide a clean burning fuel that can displace dirtier carbon based alternatives.
Methane is a clean burning energy source that is already utilized across the world in its gaseous form as "natural gas." Traditionally, methane is extracted from under the surface of the earth from methane deposits trapped hundreds of meters below. However, methane is present in many waste gas sources such as Coal Mine Methane and Landfill Gas. These methane based gas sources are often comprised of a number of other contaminates that must be removed before the methane can be used.
Through advanced technology LNG Silesia is able to economically purify and liquefy these methane sources. The resulting LNG is a clean burning alternative fuel that can be utilized in a number of industries including transportation. While LNG can be economically transported in tankers over long distances to end users, the small distributed scale production model allows LNG Silesia to locate LNG plants in close proximity to end users eliminating the need to transport the fuel long distances. By developing various waste and stranded resources such as Coal Mine Gas, Landfill Gas, Digester Biogas and stranded gas reserves, LNG Silesia helps reduce fugitive methane emissions to the atmosphere subsequently reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
